A Phenomenal Man - Visitor's Poem
by Jamie Robinson
(Syracuse, NY, USA)
When I walk by women see my size and the deepness of my eyes
They stare and wonder about my future, am I like other guys?
God has placed a big heart in my chest to love, this I will, this I can
From the top of my head, to the soles of my feet, I am a phenomenal man
My big biceps contract to pull my woman up if she should fall
I have strong shoulders that absorb her tears, and her fears I can carry all
My strong legs enable me to walk tall, my head parallel to the sky
Behind my eyes lie a beautiful soul, I'm not afraid to cry
My feet are planted firm, where many weak men ran
I'm the lion in the jungle, the love in your passion, I'm a phenomenal man
Beads of sweat drip from my brow as I work hard to lighten the load
If the journey seems too rough to travel, I will pave the road
My hands are big and strong, they're made to raise the children of the land
My intentions bring actions and satisfaction, I am a phenomenal man
Where there is doubt, I bring faith, where there is sickness I promote health
For every item my woman brings home, I contstruct another shelf
I have a strong back that makes you react like an animal when we make love
My full beautiful lips kiss you, like the wind touches a dove
Tell me your wants, desires, and dreams, through God I will fulfill all that I can
My bold neck gives a nod of respect to the one who made me a phenomenal man
The flesh of my chest creates a firm pillow for the beautiful head of my queen
You see, she is a phenomenal woman, together we are a phenomenal team
From the swagger of my walk, to the power of my talk,
I complement the land
My loyalty complements her trust, this I was taught when my life began
I came in this world as a small boy
I will leave this world nothing less than a phenomenal man.
