by Iris Midori Hirata (Am. Samoa)
It sparkles at the corner of your eyeYou see it and wonder whySomething so beautifulCan come from such sorrowA tearAs it runs down your faceAppears Due to unfair fateIt runs down and dropsLeaving evidence of a faultYou may wipe it from your eyeAlthough still lingering is the sorrowBe brave, hold onMake it till tomorrowIn each tear Is a little bit of painSo remember, when you cryIt is not in vainThe sparkle is therePlaced by GodTo remind you, the hope for another dayOf which you will grow fondOut of this An exotic flower emergesStrong, hopefulWith a whole lot of courage
