by Cecille (Philippines)
Silence as the valley of deathSkeletons are everywhereBony hands stretch wideT’was scary as hellEyes like balls of fireHungry mouths like a volcanoVoice as deep as where the underworld liesWant to be free but nowhere to goGently open their mouthsTo welcome the kiss of each sun rayFlowers bloom everywhereShadow of death is nowhere to findWaking up from its winter slumberSmells like evergreenAwestruck, everywhere turns greenSmall and tall that turns green smilesEverywhere you lookSurrounds a garden of beautyAll you can see and feel is joy of each smileI never stop dreaming of life full of joy and beauty to cherish
