Lying in the sand dunes, listening to the waves, closing my eyes and drifting far away. Listening to the sound of the rolling waves, as my restless mind drifts so far away.
The sun warms my skin as in my imagination I am lying on some warm tropical beach. I hear the sound of the seabirds and I feel the water as it's gently lapping at my feet.
My mind is unchained from worries of the past and concerns I may have about the future. And the only thing that counts is this very moment and its connection with the beauty of nature.
I hear the sea's lullaby, see the clouds in the blue sky, and feel the soft breeze tickling my nose. There is nothing to do, nowhere I have to go, so I'll just let my thoughts roll by I suppose.
How beautiful it is when we surrender ourselves, to all that nature has to offer. How sad sometimes, that we take it all for granted, so much that we don't notice it at all.
A life made up of moments, moments we could spend, that add richness to our lives and enthrall. Those moments of pure magic are there for the taking, moments that cost nothing at all.
The wonder of this day, well it took my breath away and activated my imagination. No more negativity, just peace and serenity and an overriding sense of liberation.
Now the sun is going down on this heaven I have found, and it's time that I was on my way. Just one more look around then I'll be homeward. It's the end of one very perfect day.
