When I think about life and what it means. I’m reminded it’s not always what it seems. What one person says is not always what another person hears. One person’s laughter can be another person’s tears. So often a face hides its inner meaning and we are not aware of what we are seeing. It’s not easy for inner and outer to match, for when they do, here is the catch: To face it is tough, and if not brave enough we go right back to the same old stuff. Surface beauty can be alluring and a mind half baked. A dinner can be so-so saved by coffee and cake. A body can be beautiful hiding a mind to behold. While a dessert can be fattening as a healthy dinner grows cold.
