Thinking Alike

Many great teachers have make this point very clearly. We are what we think. These thought quotes will emphasize the importance of our thoughts on our lives.

Whether we consciously choose our thoughts or let aimlessness run our lives, sooner or later, the seeds of thoughts we've planted in our mind will bring forth.

Fortunately, there's a time-delay before the thoughts that we let our lives be dominated by become realities. If not, just imagine that you consistently fear about crocodiles, and the next instant a crocodile appeared in your life! So you're given a time-delay, a pause, a second chance to choose your thoughts again. Isn't that a blessing?

Some of these quotes are from great teachers who wrote them down ages ago. These are classic truths that will never become outdated. What will become outdated is probably the use of language. So when you do come across a quote that states "man", of course the author means both men and women as these are universal laws that apply equally to all people.

When I was younger, most of these quotes don't make much sense to me. I couldn't relate to them and I just let these wisdom pass me by. And I got rooted in many years of aimless thinking. My mind would frequently wander about and I simply let negative "mental movies" replay over and over again in my mind. Now I began to see what a wrong move that was for me to let "rubbish thinking" take control of my life!

About a month ago, I began to read about this book that speaks simply and eloquently about the power of thoughts on my life. I read and reread the book over several times. The words begin to slowly seep into my subconscious, and I begin to think more about the influence and impact my thoughts had on my life so far. What a revelation....

I'm now beginning to learn to control and direct my thinking. Of course, I'm still far from being any good at it. In fact, most of the time, I got side-tracked and my habit of auto-pilot thinking will just take over again!

But I'm beginning to feel, experience and see for myself more and more how my thoughts bring forth the conditions of the life that I'm experiencing. And goodness, I have got loads to change about my thinking! At least, I've started the journey...

May you be the master gardener of your thoughts, plant great seeds of thoughts, and reap the good fruits of your thoughts! Stay inspired!
